Today, a grey, chilly London afternoon, I had the delight of meeting Dr. Jenny Ramakalawon, Curator of Western Modern and Contemporary Graphic Works in the Department of Prints and Drawings at the British Museum. I delivered a silverpoint drawing,The Weathered Cedar, that the Museum has acquired, a serious honour.
Even going into the wonderful hall lined with shelves, drawers and display cases full of treasures created by graphic artists down the ages was a thrill. A humbling moment too, to think that I join the company of so many amazing artists in the Museum collections.
