North Brittany's weather sweeps in from the Atlantic and English Channel in amazingly changeable fashion. No sooner had I started painting this plein air landscape that the whole scene changed from sun to storms. This was the pattern until I finished the painting. By then, I was scrunched up in a car, out of the frequent passing rain showers!
